Fans Can Attend Verizon IndyCar Series 2018 Aero Kit Testing at Mid-Ohio on August 1st

Fans are welcome to attend on-track testing of the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series universal aero kit at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, on Tuesday, Aug. 1.  It is free admission with gates opening at 8 a.m.  A break in the testing will occur approximately 12 noon – 1 p.m. with all activity to wrap up by 4:30 p.m.

This will be the first test of the road course/street course/short oval aero kit configuration following a successful test of the superspeedway oval configuration last week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As with the Indianapolis test, Juan Pablo Montoya will drive the test car with Chevrolet power and Oriol Servia will drive the Honda-powered test car at Mid-Ohio.

Fans cannot be in pit lane or garage areas, but the infield, Turn 2 and carousel mounds will be open. Concession stands will not be open.  Everyone should enter the track at Gate 3.
