GMR Grand Prix Makes Historic Move to Fourth of July Weekend
The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course announced today that the 2020 Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio originally set for May 1-3, 2020, has been rescheduled to Sept. 25-27, 2020.
We are all aware that these are uncertain and unprecedented times. We want you to know that Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and The Mid-Ohio School are evaluating what that means for our upcoming driving school courses, track rentals and club events, as well as the 2020 racing season schedule which was set to begin the first weekend of May.
This is an important update to race fans, competitors and all associated with the Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio event.
Starting Lineup: Josef Newgarden (No. 1 Hitachi Chevrolet), Simon Pagenaud (No. 22 Menards/DXC Technology Chevrolet), Will Power (No. 12 Verizon Chevrolet), Helio Castroneves (No. 3 Pennzoil Chevrolet for the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge), Scott McLaughlin (No. 2 Team Penske Chevrolet for the GMR Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway).
Starting Lineup: Max Chilton (No. 59 Gallagher Carlin Chevrolet), Conor Daly (No. 59 Gallagher Carlin Chevrolet, all ovals except for the Indy 500), Felipe Nasr (No. 31 Carlin Chevrolet, currently confirmed for season-opening St. Pete race only).
