Mid-Ohio welcomes back the thrills of sports car racing with the O'Reilly Auto Parts Four Hours of Mid-Ohio set for June 6-8. The weekend will feature a four-hour IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge endurance race, plus racing action from VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin. USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire adds some open-wheel racing to the schedule with the upcoming stars of the sport competing.

IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge
From the showroom to the speedway, the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge is IMSA’s showcase for the latest in American-made and imported high-performance sports cars, coupes, hatchbacks and sedans. This series is home to the same cars seen on streets and highways around the world and offers racing in two classes – Grand Sport (GS) and Touring Car (TCR) – running a 10-race schedule in tandem with most of the WeatherTech Championship events.

Mazda MX-5 Cup Logo
The Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin is the signature spec series for Mazda Motorsports. The MX-5 Cup champion earns a $250,000 scholarship at season’s end. MX-5 Cup has been sanctioned by IMSA since 2021. Each of the series’ seven event weekends – run as a companion to either WeatherTech Championship or IndyCar events – features a pair of 45-minute races.

The IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge is a multi-class sprint racing series. The lead class, P3, features entry-level, closed-cockpit prototype cars, while the production-based GSX class utilizes cars built to international GT4 technical regulations. New in 2025 is the GTDX class which uses homologated FIA GT3 specification car models that participated in the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. 

The Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires is the signature spec series for Mazda Motorsports. Mazda-powered grassroots champions can earn a Mazda scholarship to compete in the series. The Mazda MX-5 Cup champion earns a $250,000 scholarship.

USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire is the first official step on the USF Pro Championships driver development system, providing an entry level program for young drivers needing more experience and track time before advancing up the ladder, and brings a level of professionalism and organization to a driver's first serious championship choice. In addition to prize money and awards, the series champion will earn a scholarship valued at $249,675 to advance to USF2000 in 2026.
