Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio showcases 10 races from five different motorcycle classes 

LEXINGTON, Ohio (Aug. 14, 2025) – The 2025 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship chase intensifies as it heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend (Aug. 15-17) for Round 7 of 9. Top Superbike riders Josh Herrin (242) and Bobby Fong (237) are separated by just five points entering the three-day Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio event, the 34th edition which features doubleheader races from the five different classes, five races Saturday and five more on Sunday.

The 2024 Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio revived a longheld Superbike racing tradition after a 10-year hiatus at the legendary North Central Ohio road course. Herrin dominated and swept the weekend, taking the checkered flag first for the 49th and 50th all-time Superbike races at Mid-Ohio. The doubleheader sweep was a first for Herrin in the Superbike class, and he would carry that momentum to his second-career MotoAmerica Superbike Championship.

With only three rounds (six races) left in the 2025 Superbike season, Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing’s Bobby Fong is in hot pursuit with a four-race win streak, trailing Herrin by just five points. Third in the standings is Tytlers Cycle Racing’s Cameron Beaubier (226), who earned a pole position at Mid-Ohio in 2024 with a lap of 1:23.904, the fastest lap at Mid-Ohio since 2008 when Ben Spies set the track record with a time of 1:23.639.

Herrin, Fong, Beaubier and the rest of the Superbike field will compete in the 51st and 52nd all-time Superbike races this weekend on the 2.4-mile, 15-turn natural terrain road course. In addition to the Superbike title chase, the race weekend will also feature doubleheader races from four other classes: Mission King of the Baggers, Motovation Supersport, Stock 1000 and Mission Super Hooligan National Championship. 

Other notable competitors with ties to the Buckeye State include CJ LaRoche (Bellaire), Logan Monk (Canton), Robert Noe (New Franklin), Brian Mullins (Cincinnati), Zachary Beavan (Trenton), Greg Reisinger (Leroy Township), Larry Pegram (Hebron) and Anthony Sansotta (Marion, Ohio). Mullins, JD Beach (Philpot, Ky.) and Hayden Gillim (Owensboro, Ky.) also serve as coaches at The Mid-Ohio School’s Performance Track Riding programs making it a home race of sorts for these riders. 

“Racing at Mid-Ohio means a lot to me. I see it as my home track being it’s only a few hours away,” said Hayden Gillim, MotoAmerica Superbike rider for the Mansfield, Ohio-based Real Steel Honda team and The Mid-Ohio School Performance Track Riding coach. “I grew up coming to all the pro races and raced here as a kid. The track holds a special place in my heart, and I’m looking forward to a great weekend.” 

Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio will also provide fans with tremendous behind-the-scenes access and fun for all ages. Attendees will be able to enjoy free paddock garage access to get up close to the bikes and riders. It will be the place for autograph sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. Motorcycle enthusiasts in attendance with appropriate riding gear can also partake in free demo rides on the latest models from Aprilia, CFMOTO, Harley-Davidson, Indian, Moto Guzzi and Yamaha. Finally, family fun is on tap in the infield at the Free Kids Zone complete with inflatables and more.

Weekend General Admission tickets are $100, and Single Day tickets start at $45. Children 12 and under receive free general admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
