Davisson Brothers Band to perform a live concert this Friday evening of the Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio event
LEXINGTON, Ohio (July 30, 2026) – The 2026 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship chase intensifies as it heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course starting tomorrow for Round 7 of 10. The three-day Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio (July 31 - Aug. 2), its 35th edition at the North Central Ohio legendary road course, features doubleheader races from six different classes, six races Saturday and six more on Sunday.
With only four rounds (eight races) left in the 2026 Quad Lock Superbike season, Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing’s JD Beach is in hot pursuit with a two-race win streak, trailing Sean Dylan Kelly by just eleven points. Last year’s Race 1 winner and fourth in this year’s standings is Strack Racing’s Bobby Fong (126). In 2025’s Race 2, Cameron Beaubier claimed victory and by doing so won his 90th career race, making him the all-time winningest road racer across all classes in AMA history. Beaubier currently sits 12th in the standings and is looking for a rebound at Mid-Ohio off his historic accomplishment a season ago, while also coming within 0.023 of a second during qualifying of Ben Spies’ track record set in 2008 (1:23.639).
Dylan Kelly, Beach, Matthew Scholtz (3rd in points), Fong and Beaubier and the rest of the Quad Lock Superbike field will compete in the 53rd and 54th all-time Superbike races this weekend on the 2.4-mile, 15-turn natural terrain road course. In addition to the Quad Lock Superbike title chase, the race weekend will also feature doubleheader races from five other classes: Mission King of the Baggers, Supersport, Mission Super Hooligan National Championship, Twins Cup and Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race.
While fans know them as primarily as riders on the MotoAmerica grid, JD Beach (Philpot, Ky.), Andrew Lee (Clovis, Calif.) and Hayden Gillim (Owensboro, Ky.) are also familiar faces at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course throughout the year. The trio serves as coaches for The Mid-Ohio School's Performance Track Riding programs, helping riders of all experience levels build confidence and improve their skills on the same 2.4-mile road course where they will compete this weekend. Their regular presence at the facility and connection to the school's rider training programs make Mid-Ohio a home track of sorts, adding another layer of familiarity as they battle for victories in front of the Lexington crowd.
“Racing here means a lot to me, personally,” said Hayden Gillim, MotoAmerica Quad Lock Superbike rider for the Mansfield, Ohio-based Real Steel Honda team. “I grew up watching races here, got my first pro win here and now having the team based just down the road has made it even more special to me, the team and my family and friends.”
“I believe the coolest thing in the world is being able to help other people,” said Andrew Lee, also a rider for the MotoAmerica Quad Lock Superbike Real Steel Honda team. “Taking the knowledge I’ve learned through the years of racing and being able to pass that on to racers and riders at Mid-Ohio is a pleasure.”
Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio will also provide fans with tremendous behind-the-scenes access and fun for all ages. Attendees will be able to enjoy free paddock garage access to get up close to the bikes and riders. It will be the place for an autograph session on Saturday, then the autograph session moves to pitlane on Sunday before the Quad Lock Superbike Race 2. Motorcycle enthusiasts in attendance with appropriate riding gear can also partake in free demo rides on the latest models from Harley-Davidson, Honda and Yamaha. Family fun is also on tap in the infield at the Free Kids Zone complete with inflatables and more for the youngest fans to experience.
Fans attending the 2026 Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio will have even more entertainment to enjoy throughout the weekend, with the Davisson Brothers Band headlining a Friday night concert on July 31. The live music lineup will also feature opening performances by Tori Shell and Clay Kelley and Nick Davisson and Landon McFadden, with the Davisson Brothers Band taking the stage at approximately 8 p.m. ET. Sponsored by Permco, the evening will include live music, special appearances and entertainment, providing fans with a full night of fun following Friday’s on-track action. A Friday or Weekend General Admission ticket is required to attend the concert held in the infield of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
