Worldâs best vintage motorcycling bash returns to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
PICKERINGTON, Ohio â The American Motorcyclist Association has announced that the 30th installment of its annual celebration of vintage motorcycles will be July 22-24 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
âAMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is getting better every year, and this past summerâs event was no exception,â said AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. âWe expect the 2022 event to keep the momentum going with even more riding, racing and fun at our three-day festival of all things vintage motorcycling.â
Josef Newgarden earned his second victory of the season by winning the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Axalta and Valvoline on Saturday night at World Wide Technology Raceway in a race that shuffled the NTT INDYCAR SERIES championship deck.
Newgarden drove his No. 2 Sonsio Team Penske Chevrolet to victory by .5397 of a second over Pato OâWardâs No. 5 Arrow McLaren SP. OâWard didnât enter Victory Lane, but he also was a big winner of the night by taking the championship lead by 10 points over Alex Palou, who placed 20th after being eliminated in a three-car accident early in the race.
