LEXINGTON, Ohio (08.18.24) – Rahal Ducati Moto (RDM) has secured its rider lineup for the 2025 season, welcoming back all three riders from its inaugural run. Corey Alexander (No. 23), PJ Jacobsen (No. 15), and Kayla Yaakov (No. 19) will all continue to call RDM home for the team’s sophomore season.
Since making its debut in Daytona, the new team has proved its dedication to its riders, crew, and the competitive sport of road racing. With all three riders finishing in the top 15 at Daytona, just five months after the team was formed, Rahal Ducati Moto has since collected six wins, 16 podiums and remains in the championship hunt. Each of the trio have taken a step on the podium showcasing the talent spread across the team.
Retaining the current stable is key to the future success of RDM. The team prides itself on consistency and maintaining and growing the current program allows the organization to continue to progress competitively and functionally.
“We’re really proud of the success the team has had this year,” said team owner, Graham Rahal. “We have watched all three riders grow, learn, perform, and contribute to the team’s competitiveness. There has been a lot for us to learn as an organization this year - it is my first time owning a race team, it’s our family’s first time in two-wheeled racing. We have really leaned on Ben [Spies] and Richie [Alexander] to help us understand the ins and outs quickly. Our crew is top-level and very knowledgeable. We’ve had phenomenal partners and we’ve started growing our fan base. It has been really fun to watch this team grow and I think maintaining our line up will put us in a fantastic position for our 2025 run.”
“It has been a blast being back in the paddock,” said Ben Spies, team principal of Rahal Ducati Moto. “We’re winning races, we’re finishing on the podium, we’re in the championship hunt – that is all so much to be proud of. Our goal was to get to the track and show we’re here to win, and I think we’ve done that. We’re making our statement. I think it is a testament to not only these three riders and their drive, but also the commitment from our crew. We’ve all become a family, we all work really well together, and working in that kind of environment, where its not just a job – its so much more - makes everything much more enjoyable and much more achievable. This year has been great – we still have a a few races to go, but once we see that checkered flag in New Jersey, we’re fully focused on 2025.”
Alexander, Jacobsen, Yaakov, and the RDM team continue their Supersport campaign today with Race 2 at the team’s “home-track” of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The race will see the green flag at 2:10 p.m. ET. Yesterday’s race saw Jacobsen claim victory for the RDM team at its home track and Supersport’s return to the central-Ohio track.
