With MotoAmerica set to bring AMA Superbike racing back to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, August 16-18, we’re taking a closer look at past Superbike races at the iconic racetrack in Lexington, Ohio.

Mat Mladin needed to come away from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2007 with two wins if he had any hope of keeping his teammate Ben Spies from earning the AMA Superbike Championship. Despite a weekend that teetered on the brink of rider boycott and culminated with Sunday’s Superbike race not starting until 7:15 p.m., Mladin was able to do what he needed to do to keep his hopes alive.

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 21, 2024) - The Permco Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio returns to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend (June 21-23) for its 42nd annual edition. The longest continuously-running event at the legendary track will feature ARCA Menards Series stock car action today plus a mix of vintage and contemporary racing action five SpeedTour series.

2023 NFL Draft pick from Ohio State to serve in honorary role on July 7

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 20, 2024) - Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and American Honda Motor Co. are honored to announce Cleveland Browns offensive lineman and former Ohio State Buckeye Dawand Jones as the honorary grand marshal of The Honda Indy 200 Presented by the 2025 Civic Hybrid on Sunday, July 7.

In 2006, there were two AMA Nationals held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The first one went off as normal, the second one? Not so much. In fact, it almost ended with a factory-rider boycott of the heat races, a gimmick new to the Mid-Ohio round.

Munroe Falls, Ohio –The Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli is heading to Amy Ruman’s home track this weekend for the Permco Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH. It will be an action-packed weekend as Trans Am is running in conjunction with the ARCA Menards Series, SVRA Vintage, and F4 US Championship/FR Americas as part of the 2024 SpeedTour.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (June 18, 2024) – Over the past five seasons Chris Dyson has finished on the podium at every Trans Am by Pirelli race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, winning twice and finishing runner up twice. This weekend Dyson will be looking for his second race win of the season, as well as his third career Mid-Ohio Trans Am victory and first pole position start of his Trans Am career at the circuit.
