With MotoAmerica set to bring AMA Superbike racing back to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, August 16-18, we’re taking a closer look at past Superbike races at the iconic racetrack in Lexington, Ohio.
In 2006, there were two AMA Nationals held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The first one went off as normal, the second one? Not so much. In fact, it almost ended with a factory-rider boycott of the heat races, a gimmick new to the Mid-Ohio round.
Munroe Falls, Ohio –The Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli is heading to Amy Ruman’s home track this weekend for the Permco Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH. It will be an action-packed weekend as Trans Am is running in conjunction with the ARCA Menards Series, SVRA Vintage, and F4 US Championship/FR Americas as part of the 2024 SpeedTour.
History Favors Dyson's Chances at Mid-Ohio Trans Am

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (June 18, 2024) – Over the past five seasons Chris Dyson has finished on the podium at every Trans Am by Pirelli race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, winning twice and finishing runner up twice. This weekend Dyson will be looking for his second race win of the season, as well as his third career Mid-Ohio Trans Am victory and first pole position start of his Trans Am career at the circuit.
For the first time in 2024, the premier ARCA Menards Series will visit a facility requiring competitors to make both left and right turns.

ALTON, Va. – The battle for this year’s USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire championship – and a scholarship valued at $263,700 to graduate onto the next step of the USF Pro Championships driver development ladder, USF2000, in 2025 – is heating up nicely. The points order fluctuated wildly as a hectic Continental Tire VIR Grand Prix tripleheader weekend unfolded at VIRginia International Raceway, with every one of this season’s drivers changing positions at one point or another. But once the dust had settled, the narrowest of victories in the final race by VRD Racing’s Sebastian Wheldon, from Coral Gables, Fla., was enough to vault him back atop the standings by a solitary point with eight of 16 races now in the books.
BRAINERD, MN (June 15, 2024) – In what was easily the best MotoAmerica Steel Commander Superbike race of the season and one of the best in recent memory, three riders battled to the bitter end with Wrench Motorcycles’ Bobby Fong spending a lot of laps as the meat in the middle of the Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati sandwich of Josh Herrin and Loris Baz.
