LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 21, 2025) – Bruno Ribeiro put on a dominating performance to claim the victory in Formula Regional Americas Championship’s (FR Americas) opening race of the Mid-Ohio SpeedTour weekend. Taking on the challenging Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Ribeiro (No. 01 Alfa Cem / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) set the pace from lights to checkered in an all-green race. Leading the field down the starting grid after securing his first-career pole in yesterday’s qualifying session, Ribeiro successfully held off his Kiwi Motorsport teammate Nicolas Ambiado (No. 55 Velox USA / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3), as well as third-place starter—and finisher—Titus Sherlock (No. 31 Rayne Nutrition / Ronald McDonald House Charities / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3). Unchallenged in his fight to the finish, Ribeiro easily claimed his first victory of the 2025 season, becoming the fifth driver to win this season in FR Americas.

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 21, 2025) – Cooper Shipman has been flawless thus far in Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) this weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Fastest in practice and qualifying, Shipman (No. 14 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) led the field down the starting grid after securing his second pole of the season. Alex Popow (No. 55 Dr. Michael Thompson MS DDS PPLS / MLT Motorsports Ligier JS F422) rolled off second, but it was actually third-place starter Kekai Hauanio (No. 29 N-E-Where Transport / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F422) who was making forward progress during the opening laps of the race. Overtaking Popow for second in Turn 1, Hauanio smoothly moved past Shipman to take the lead as they raced toward Turn 2. Shipman battled back, and the two raced side by side through Turns 3, 4 and 5. While Hauanio was initially able to hold the position, Shipman challenged again as they raced through the same sector the following lap, this time emerging with the race lead. From there, he never looked back, steadily pulling ahead and putting a gap on the field. With Popow making the pass on Hauanio during the latter stages of the race to overtake second, he tried to pull Shipman into his grasp, but was unable to do so before the checkered flag waved.

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 21, 2025) – Hometown star Cash Felber earned his first-career win in the Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) on Saturday afternoon at his home track, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Earning his first win in just his fourth weekend competing in the series, Felber (No. 11 BioLongevity Labs / TownHall / Rebol / DWT / Matrix Mind Water / Phantom Fireworks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) put on a commanding performance, taking the lead off the starting block from current championship frontrunner Gastón Irazú (No. 42 Elia Group / Baly / Canal 4 / Ancap / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) to pace his first laps in the series. With Irazú in hot pursuit, the 14 year old maintained his composure, continued to hit his marks and led for nearly the first 20 minutes of the race. Irazú finally made his way around Felber, while Drew Szuch (No. 28 Berg Racing Ligier JS F4) steadily climbed through the field behind him. Irazú went off track with less than five minutes left on the clock, allowing both Felber and Szuch to scurry past. With Felber back out front, Szuch began closing in. As they raced toward the white flag, Szuch made a move to overtake Felber and went on to lead the field across the finish line. As they took the checkered flag, Szuch led Felber and Beckham Jacir (No. 7 STONICA / BELL / OMP / P1Doks / LC Racing Ligier JS F4).

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 20, 2025) – Rookie Bruno Ribeiro secured the Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) pole at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday afternoon. Fresh off two back-to-back podiums at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), Ribeiro (No. 01 Alfa Cem / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) took his momentum east to set a new qualifying track record in FR Americas with a lap time of 1:18.638.

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 20, 2025) – Practice and qualifying have concluded for the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Matthew Brabham in the No. 21 GYM WEED Ford Mustang claimed his first pole of the season by setting a new track record of 1:19.525. The late addition to the entry list is the second car in the CD Racing stable this weekend. Brabham filled in for team owner Chris Dyson (No. 16 GYM WEED Ford Mustang) yesterday in testing after Dyson’s flight was delayed.

Longest continuously-running event at the track includes 19 total races featuring two Trans Am Series races

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 20, 2025) – The Permco Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio returns to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend (June 20-22) for its 43rd annual edition. The longest continuously-running event at the legendary track will feature a mix of vintage and contemporary racing from seven SpeedTour series, including two 75-minute Trans Am Series races.

Seasons Approach Halfway at Mid-Ohio

Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) all near halfway in their 2025 seasons, as they unload at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend. FR Americas and Ligier JFC officially hit the midseason mark this weekend, while F4 U.S. is just one race shy, leaving Mid-Ohio with eight of its 18 rounds in the books.
